Bike Fitting/Sizing Service
Absolute Bikes has a very knowledgeable staff equipped with all the proper tools, space, and training to make sure your bike fits your body. Our goal is to ensure that your body and your bike are working in perfect harmony. We do fittings on all types of bikes, and specialize in fitting mountain bikes.
What sets our Fitting apart from other fit services is the very thorough Pre-Fit Assessment. This process is necessary to insure that we understand your unique body, background, and goals before we get on the bike and start adjusting things. Once on your bike, we will spend as much time as needed to make sure we get it just right. The average time from start to finish is approximately 3 hours, but can vary from 2-4 hours.
If you’re not ready to invest in a Fitting we also offer a Bike Sizing Service. With the purchase of a new bike, a sizing is offered at a discounted rate of $50 to make sure your bike is dialed. We suggest you ride a few times to notice any pain points. Otherwise, a Sizing can be scheduled for $100 and takes roughly an hour.
During a Sizing we set saddle height and fore/aft, handle bar position, and adjust the suspension (as well as educate you on how to adjust it). A Sizing can also be a very useful tool for determining exactly which size bike you need when you find yourself between two sizes.

Bike Fit FAQ
What should I bring with me to a Bike Fit?
Obviously your bike is necessary to perform a bike fit. If possible, drop your bike off the day before to save setup time, which allows us to get right to work as soon as you arrive for your appointment. We’ll take good care of it. We understand that if you’re coming from out of town this may not be possible.
In addition to your bike, you will also need your cycling shoes and cycling clothing. A bike fit is a good time to think about replacing those old beat-up shoes or worn out chamois. You will be barefoot (socks are fine) for much of your Pre-Fit Assessment.
What is the Pre-Fit Assessment?
This is a series of tests and questions, that evaluate various aspects of your unique physiology such as range of motion, flexibility and core strength. These assessments are also designed to discover any limitations that could potentially need to be addressed on the bike. Wearing comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is highly recommended. Your cycling kit works perfectly for this.
When I leave am I done?
The human body is always changing and adapting. Included in the cost of your Fit is a follow up appointment which is intended to see how you have adapted to the changes we made. This is also an opportunity to address any questions/concerns you might have. We want you to be completely satisfied with your experience. Never hesitate to call or email your fitter. We also email you all of the info and data from your bike fit for your records, and we also keep fit records on file here at the shop.
What if I have another bike, or purchase a new bike?
We offer a fitting on a second bike for an additional $50, so go ahead and bring your second bike with you, or set up another appointment with your fitter for the second bike. For returning Fit customers we offer a Loyalty Bike Fitting for $150. This is a great option for customers who have had a fit in the past, but it’s been a few years. Reasons to consider an all new fit include new riding goals or to compensate for physiological changes following an injury/surgery.
