Jessica Downing

Jessica returned to her home state of Colorado in 2017 after an eight year "working vacation" in NW Montana. In addition to working in the shop, she is a PMBIA Level 1 certified bike coach and runs our women's programs and Absolute Youth Cycling. She also is an ambassador and coach for the VIDA MTB Series - a mountain bike coaching series for women.

Q. Where did you learn your love of bikes?
A. My first mountain bike ride I remember was Klondike Bluffs in Moab sometime in middle school, but it wasn't until college in Fort Collins that I really started biking and it became a lifestyle more than a sport.

Q. How many bikes do you have?
A. Six. Yeti SB140; Kona Sutra LTD; Esker Hayduke; Surly Pugsley; Electra Hawaii; Yuba Kombi cargo bike.

Q. What is your favorite local trail?
A. Starvation Creek off the Crest

Q. What is your favorite trail outside of Salida?
A. Morning Mountain system in Nelson, B.C. Or the White Rim in Moab for a fat bike camping adventure.

A. Chips & Salsa
