James Haarmeyer came to Absolute Bikes after working for several years as an attorney here in Salida. A lifelong mountain biker, in 2009 he jumped at the opportunity to help coach the Salida High School Mountain Bike Team and Director for Absolute Youth Cycling.
Q. Where did you learn your love of bikes?
A. Learned to love riding while growing up in northern Virginia.
Q. How many bikes do you have?
A. How many bikes depends a bit on how we’re counting them, but at the moment I have an old Schwinn townie bike, a Kona Ute cargo bike, one each of road and bmx bikes, a steel singlespeed mountain bike, and a Yeti SB5 - which is my primary mountain bike.

A. Toss up between Tire Mtn (Oakridge OR) or Hiline (Sedona AZ)
